Never accept the first meal that is offered. Send it back to the kitchen at once. When the next meal appears, sniff it and look at it disdainfully. Then wait for the next meal. When your human gets bored or annoyed, you can keep them interested by tasting just a little bit. This will keep them hopeful that you will eat something. When they turn their back, eat the first thing that was offered.
