Have you thought about making your pet cat its very own Instagram account? If you have always wanted a famous pet, then it’s a good move to make. By posting lots of cute photos of your kitty, you will be able to gain more and more followers and fans. Eventually, you might even be able to make a bit of spare cash through the Instagram profile if you post some sponsored posts.
Sound good? Great! Here are some steps you need to take to help your pussy cat shoot to fame.
Find Your Cat’s USP
You need to have something that makes your cat unique. After all, there are thousands of cat profiles on Instagram, so you need to figure out what can help your cat stand out from all the others. Maybe it’s because your cat is like Grumpy Cat and has a very funny expression. Your cat might be like Whisper the clinic cat and have a really inspirational story. Or perhaps your cat is a super rare breed that not many people know about. Whatever it is, make sure your Instagram profile reflects this USP and makes it really obvious!
Post Regularly
Once you start your Instagram cat account, you need to make sure that your posts are regular and consistent. If you take long breaks without any new photos, then your followers might start to get bored and might hit the unfollow button. It’s also important that you time your posts well too. Lunch time East Coast time is perfect. Europeans are just getting home, East Coasters are on their lunch, and the West Coast is just waking up!
Use Plenty Of Tags
It’s important to use lots of hashtags to ensure that your pictures are seen by as many people as possible. You should add these to the end of your picture description. Then, when people search through the tags, they will come to your photo. Ideally, you should use at least five tags on each post. It’s also useful to check-in to a location as well as this can further increase visibility.
Support Other Cat Instagram Profiles
When you are just starting out on Instagram, it’s important to follow as many other cat profiles as possible. Hopefully, whoever runs the accounts will follow you back! This is an important way to build up follower numbers in your early days on Instagram. It’s also a nice idea to repost photos that these other accounts post. They should then repay the favor. Then, all of their followers will see one of your posts, and will, hopefully, feel encouraged to follow your account!
Start Things Slowly
Even if you follow all of the tips above, it will still take a few months for you to build up a substantial number of followers. So, it’s best to take things slowly at the beginning and not to expect any huge results right from day one. Sit back, relax, and enjoy your journey to Insta-fame!
Eventually, your cute cat will become a huge star!
